Tonight, at the O2 Arena, London will host Money in the Bank 2023.
There are seven matches scheduled for the Pay-Per-View headlined by The Bloodline Civil War between Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and The Usos, along with Two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, and more.
If last night’s SmackDown is anything to go by, the UK crowd will bring their electric atmosphere again on Saturday night.
Men’s Money in the Bank
The Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match has been reported to open the show tonight, with the winner earning a championship opportunity to cash-in whenever they like for the next 12 months.
The seven participants in the match are: LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Butch, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Damien Priest and Logan Paul.
The favourite heading into this match is LA Knight, but there have been discussions internally within WWE for Logan Paul to win the briefcase, with the idea that it will bring more viewers into WWE due to his popularity.
Prediction: Logan Paul
Women’s Money in the Bank
The Women’s Money in the Bank has an interesting lineup with six women who seek to climb the ladder and secure the briefcase.
The six participants in this year’s edition are: Iyo Sky & Bayley of Damage CTRL, Trish Stratus, Zoey Stark, Zelina Vega, and Becky Lynch.
Interestingly, only Bayley has previously won this match, so she is the most experienced in this type of matchup.
One thing to note: Becky Lynch is rivals with every competitor in the match, other than Zelina Vega, so she may be a target for the other four women.
Prediction: Trish Stratus
Gunther (C) vs Riddle – Intercontinental Championship Match
Intercontinental Champion, Gunther will defend his title against Matt Riddle at Money in the Bank.
The two have sparked a rivalry recently on Raw, with Gunther prevailing and damaging Riddle’s ankles on multiple occasions. Don’t be surprised if he works that area in the match.
This looks set to be a brutal beatdown of Riddle, with Gunther retaining. Imperium may get involved.
Many have speculated that Randy Orton will return during or after this match so be prepared…
Prediction: Gunther retains the Intercontinental Championship
Cody Rhodes vs Dominik Mysterio
Cody Rhodes vs Dominik Mysterio will be an interesting fight which many probably didn’t expect to see.
One of, if not the most over face, vs the biggest heel in WWE right now.
An interference is almost guaranteed in this match, whether it’s from Rhea Ripley, or Brock Lesnar.
The crowd will be alive for this match for sure.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes wins via Disqualification
Liv Morgan & Raquel vs Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler – Women’s Tag Title Match
Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler will defend their Women’s Tag Titles against Liv Morgan & Raquel in London.
Liv Morgan’s injury forced her and Raquel to relinquish the championships last month, leaving a path for Ronda and Shayna to capitalize on.
Following their victory in the title unification match, Liv made her return and the challenge was made for Money in the Bank.
This is the least promoted match for the event, but I feel it will still be a good contest.
Prediction: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler retain – Liv turns on Raquel…
Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor – World Heavyweight Championship Match
World Heavyweight Champion defends his title against The Prince, Finn Balor.
A match seven years in the making.
Finn beat Seth seven years ago at SummerSlam to become the inaugural Universal Champion, only to relinquish it 24 hours later through injury.
Balor has never forgiven Rollins for the injury and looks for revenge at MITB.
Balor has attacked Rollins from behind for the past few weeks, but I feel Rollins pulls through this and retains the title.
Prediction: Seth Rollins retains World Heavyweight Championship
The Bloodline Civil War
The Bloodline has crumbled, and Roman Reigns wants to make The Usos fall back in line.
Solo Sikoa sided with Reigns over his brothers and the battle will take place in London.
The Usos have all the momentum entering this match, standing strong over the Tribal Chief for the past month, and I expect they use this to their advantage.
Prediction: The Usos win and Solo turns on Roman Reigns
