MLS Opening Weekend Preview

A new era of Major League Soccer will begin on Saturday when Nashville host New York City at Geodis Park. This season marks the beginning of a new 10-year partnership deal between the league and Apple, with all games available to watch via an Apple TV, MLS Season Pass subscription.

Another significant addition to the league’s schedule is the introduction of the Summer Leagues Cup break which will pause the season for a month following the games played on July 15th. This World Cup-like tournament will feature all 47 MLS and Liga MX clubs.


Opening Weekend


MLS Cup champions LAFC were set to begin their campaign against LA Galaxy in another El Tráfico at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, but due to the severe storm in California, the game has been forced to be postponed. The other games that will feature in Matchday 1 are:
