Five Potential Returns at Money In The Bank 2023

Money in the Bank is live from the London O2 Stadium on Saturday July 1 and with that comes the possibility of returns at the Premium Live Event.

Here are five superstars I could see making their returns this weekend:

1) Drew McIntyre

The Scottish Warrior has not been present on WWE TV since WrestleMania where he competed in a grueling triple threat with Sheamus and Intercontinental Champion Gunther. A return for McIntyre seems likely as he is from the UK and what better way to re-introduce him than in London.

There are several ways the return could be handled, from confronting the World Heavyweight Champion, the Intercontinental Champion, or even joining the Men's MITB Ladder Match as an eighth participant.

Drew would certainly like to be back in the title picture and going face-to-face with a champion is a great way to earn yourself a title shot. The alternative route is to enter the Money in the Bank match and earn a title shot through the contract hanging above the ring.

Drew has unfinished business with both Gunther and Seth Rollins, but cashing in on Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns could be his motivation, following the heartbreaking defeat in Cardiff last September at Clash at the Castle.

2) Randy Orton

The Viper has been out of action with a back injury since May 2022.

The Viper has been out of action with a back injury since May 2022.

The 15-Time World Champion was in a team with partner Matt Riddle known as RK-BRO but got injured in a tag match against The Usos.

He has not been on WWE TV for over a year and fans have speculated him to return at Money in the Bank.

If Orton were to make an appearance at Money in the Bank, I would only assume it was during the Gunther vs Matt Riddle bout, but would he come to the aid of his partner, or will the viper strike like he always has with former allies…

3) Brock Lesnar

The Beast is another superstar who could make his return tonight.

Brock Lesnar was last on WWE TV at WWE Night of Champions where he forced Cody Rhodes to sleep to defeat him.

Since then, The American Nightmare has called out Lesnar on multiple occasions to no avail.

Brock and Cody clearly have unfinished business and a match at SummerSlam to complete the trilogy is being reported, therefore Lesnar could return during Cody’s match at MITB.

4) Bray Wyatt

A Bray Wyatt return is imminent.

Bray hasn’t been on WWE TV since March, just before he was meant to fight Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39.

Since then, there has been no mention of him whatsoever on Raw or SmackDown, but recent images of him in the gym have been revealed and Wyatt certainly looks like he has been preparing for his return.

There could be a teaser in the show rather than a full return tonight…

5) Edge

Edge is the final potential return I could see happening at Money in the Bank.

The Rated R Superstar hasn’t heavily featured on SmackDown since the WWE Draft and has already been scheduled to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect next Friday on the blue brand.

However, due to him being on the Friday night show, I am unsure of who he would confront or aid at MITB.

Honourable Mention

KSI could feature at Money in the Bank to come to the aid of his friend Logan Paul.

We saw him at WrestleMania dressed as a bottle of Prime in the match between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins, but since then he has not featured.

Could KSI help Logan become Mr Money in the Bank on Saturday night?
